This 'O' gauge layout is based on a small locomotive
depot in the former midland railway sphere of influence. The shed
is surrounded on all sides by heavy industry which has gradually
encroached on the site over the past few years.
Locomotives are a mixture of former midland and eastern
region prototypes including 3F, 4F, 8F, O4, N5 and Austerity
2-8-0. All locomotives are kit built and weathered. Control
is conventional DC with electrically operated points and loco movements
controlled from a hand held panel.
Although not yet complete, we hope these images give you
some idea of the level of realism that can be achieved with 'O' gauge,
even in a
relatively small space, this layout is only 8ft long!!
