| Following the death of one of our longest serving members, Derek Taylor early in 2007, his collection of Tri-ang TT gauge model railway equipment came into our possession. Derek had, for may year's, said that he wanted to build a layout to display these items but sadly he never got around to it. The society thought that it would be a fitting tribute to Derek to build this layout in his memory. |

| The layout measures 5ft x 3ft and consists of a double track mainline with sidings and loco sheds etc. All of the trackwork is Tri-ang Type B and all of the buildings are from the extensive range in the Tri-ang catalogue. The locomotives and rolling stock are all Tri-ang. |
The baseboard, which is cork covered, 9mm MDF with a timber sub-frame and trestles has been supplied by TheGoodsYard |
| The layout made its first public appearance at the Clubroom Open Days in May 2007. It is intended that further features will be added to the model including electric points and a turntable, in time for our 2007 Model Railway Exhibition in November. |
